Typologies
The labels of a farm are all alike to a profane, if they are not different in size and colours. A collector, on the contrary, knows what makes them different and, so, 2 labels with the smallest differences are 2 unique pieces in own collection.
Generally, the typological variety of a label is a characteristic of the big farms, but sometimes the small growers too changes iconographics look of their labels.
The requirement is offering to a client more clearness, giving, for example, informations about the geographical origin of the fruit. So, some farms put in the market many labels, like Chiquita, that made a series of labels for the Olympic games in 1980.
Sometimes the creation of new labels is not suggested by particular sale’s requirements, but by the will of a renewal of the image to offer to the client. In these cases you can see frequently labels different from less evident details, like the presence or position of the TM abbreviation.
