Fruit crate bands
The bands are a particular collection, due to the typology of the object. The bands are applied to wooden crates. A wood crate is made up of sticks 7 cm height (three sticks per side) and it has the following size: cm 29×49 with height cm 26.
The band is applied on the middle stick of the short side with metallic stitches.
Some years ago the wooden crates for the apples were more used. Now, they use plastic containers that hold from 10 to 20 wooden crates of apples (the wooden crates are used for a particular kind of apple or for a specific trade, without labels). So, little by little, the wooden crates might disappear.
A band is in light cardboard and its size are almost cm 16 lenght and cm 5 height.
